I know I've heard that EA has given out free games for mistakes...though that was back in the EA Download Manager days. I remember being disappointed that it worked for me so I didn't get anything. Now days I am sure they are going to try their hardest to make Origin look as good as possible. So I am expecting the users will get something...but we will have to see if it happens.
The thing with Steam is that for every one person they completely rip off there are probably ten that they admitted the mistake and gave compensation to. EA has yet to acquire this reputation and so far has been not so good in many aspects. So they really aren't fan boys...they are just supporting a company that in a majority of cases has been good to their customers and are typically light handed with the ban stick.
Anyway, I so happy that things are starting to get cleared up and the bans lifted. I have been feeling really guilty...since I bought BF3 for $10 the other day. However that was the price I was waiting for it to be before buying it as from what little I've played that is all I think it is worth. I think BF2142 is about ten or twenty times better, but at $10 you can't go wrong. I now own three games on Origin and they are all on different accounts (Well, BF2142 was bought way before Origin existed, but they transferred my box key over to Origin.)
