Hi I Have been looking over this site for a while and finally decided to join now that i finally have enough income to start my first PC build. Im a mech engineer/ machinst so I plan on heavily modding my case. I have decided to go big or go home so here are my first thoughts on components.

Computer parts
Case: AZZA Fusion 4000 (CSAZ-4000) Black SECC ATX Super Full Tower Computer Case

MB: ASUS Rampage IV Extreme LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard

PSU: Corsair Professional Series Gold 1200-Watt 80 Plus Gold Certified High-Performance Power Supply - CMPSU-1200AX

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model CMZ16GX3M4X1866C9R

CPU: Intel Core i7-3930K Hexa-Core Processor 3.2 Ghz 12 MB Cache LGA 2011 - BX80619I73930K

HD: OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Western Digital Caviar Black WDBAAZ0020HNC-NRSN 2TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

GPU: 2 x EVGA 04G-P4-2673-KR GeForce GTX 670 Superclocked+ w/Backplate 4GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Price: About $2770

I plan on doing some liquid cooling eventually but I am looking to just get the parts in and get the thing up and running. Any questions, concerns or comments welcome.

Hope to get some more useful tips from this site.

I would recommend getting another SSD. The Vertex 3 is pretty outdated. Newer drives like the Vertex 4 would be more reliable and offer higher performance, if you want OCZ that is.

Personally I would get an Intel 520 or a Samsung 830.

This build can do much more than just gaming but I think you're aware of that already wink.gif

Thanks i actually didnt know that about the hard drive i just saw the good deal on tigerdirect and thought it might be worth a shot. And yes I am very aware it is more than a gaming rig, I actually do a lot of 3d solid modeling so im looking for hefty multi monitor support. i just posted it as gaming because i figured thats what these forum are usually related towards.

Yeah, you're probably right. But your build is solid, hard to recommend anything else unless you're trying to cut down costs or are on a budget. If not then there's no problem with going with the "enthusiast" grade components. The 4GB VRAM on the GTX 570 will be nice for your 3d rendering and multi display gaming.
