These boards were made in the days before low voltage RAM. They will work with low voltage (<1.7V) stuff but generally higher voltage stuff clocks better (although hypers work well on some boards). S775 won't take your RAM much past 2000MHz no matter what RAM it is due to northbridge limitations.
