Id recommend the cm storm trigger. it probably has everything you need and its built quite well and has a very reasonable price tag.

How important is backlighting to you? Azio Levetron Mech5 has a volume knob, but isn't backlit. Does have MX Black rather than Red, though.
If you want a bigger version of your Mini, Noppoo does make a full-size board, called the Choc Pro, which can be had with a backlight.

Pretty important, I never realized how much I used it till I got my noppoo, I often am in poor lit or very low light conditions

Ah, okay, scratch the Mech5 then.

One possibility to consider in lieu of a volume knob would be using a third-party program to change the Windows volume increment to something realistic. It's what I do with a Noppoo (mine's a Tank, but there's no backlit Tank, only backlit Pros and Minis), and I find it makes the volume buttons much more useful. That way, you could look at a wider variety of backlit keyboards.

so I've really enjoyed my Noppoo mini keyboard (black switches) but I really need my full sized keyboard with number pad...
so this is what I'm looking for
1)Back lit
2)volume control (preferably in a dial not just press to increase/decrease) I'm coming from a Logitech G11 and love the volume adjust on it
3) Mechanical switches, I'm really open to anything but blue...they're just TOO loud, I love the blacks but am willing to try something else.
I think thats it. what are ya'lls recommendations.
honestly I wish I could somehow switch out the G11 switches for Blacks because that would be perfect!

I'm switching from a G15, I do agree the dial on this keyboard for the volume is fantastic, however I'm going to miss my LCD far more than the dial.

I've pretty much decided to go with the CM Trigger with cherry mx reds, blacks and browns are available too. The macros, backlighting and build quality swayed me.
I would like a dial instead of buttons as the dial is effortless to use, however I own a pair of sennheiser PC 360's with a dial on the ear cup so it's not such a big deal for me, I would also like a lcd screen
but they simply don't exist on mechanical keyboards.

I own the G15 now for over 5 years, it won't last forever and I would like to get a replacement before it breaks, also I want a mechanical keyboard now.

I needed a full sized keyboard, with back lighting, macros and a wrist rest so I think the CM Trigger makes the most sense for me.
