Looking for new gaming mouse.

Thread Starter
Hello, I am currently using Razer Mamba, I am satisfied all around but I am looking to get new mouse.

I was thinking about Razer Ouroboros or R.A.T.9 and R.A.T.7 Albino Edition, but I want to hear your opinions, which is best and do you have other recommendations.

I mostly play FPS games.

Logitech G700, with SteelSeries QcK mouse pad. Nothing can beat those two added together.

I'm sorry but I have to completely disagree. I've owned 2 QcKs and a QcK heavy and have had to discard all of them within less than a year because the top layer became disconnected from the foam (the threading came loose). Additionally some areas became slower than others due to wear and tear. Don't get me wrong it's a great mouse pad for the price, but for me it wasn't good enough. Additionally they are too slow for a lot of people. I recommend a Puretrak Talent, I've had mine for 9 months and besides some mild discoloration the whole pad seems to have an equally smooth surface over the whole pad (plus no issues with the top layer coming off). For a mouse I would generally recommend either a Logitech G400, Deathadder 3.5G Black Edition (if you have big hands and don't mind a scroll wheel which sometimes misregisters), or a Zowie Evo EC1/EC2 (EC1 is the bigger version).

EDIT: Additionally I forgot to mention that the g700 doesn't provide linear tracking, so if you play FPS games a lot like it says you do I'd stay away from

i use a Logitech G400 for BF3. nothing fancy but its a really good mouse for FPS. so i guess a G600-G9X would do even better.

although i completely hate it's shape and weight, i must admit that the prediction free Logitech g400 is and will probably remain the best fps mouse to date0

It does have some flaws, but when you try and compare other mice with it, they all feel like cheap toys (Wheel mouse optical excluded:).

What do you mean by the G700 doesn't have linear tracking? I have a QcK paired up with my G400 for awhile now, no problems with it.

The Avago sensor on the G700 is known for:

The line should be straight (report versus actual movement speed should always be 100%) but it isn't.
