I'm sorry, ignore me! I was blind with MSI defending, and didn't look at the specs page. My 790FX isn't an overclocking board either, yet it held a 945 at 3.8Ghz and a 955 at 3.9Ghz most of it's life, and that was after surviving a surge through a low quality OEM power supply.

You can always stick heatsinks on the voltage regulators, so long as the board is compatible in the first place. It wouldn't help with overclocking, but would possibly help with stability and lifespan at stock.

MSI 790FX was one of their best MOBOs ever. Great board.
