If it's not 1920x1200 it's not an upgrade. I can't figure out why anyone would want an 1080 computer monitor. For a TV I can understand, but for your computer?

How decent are these Dell monitors when it comes to response times in video games. I've had this Samsung XL2370 TN 23" monitor since 2009 and I'm looking to upgrade to at least a 24" 16:10 IPS display. I know IPS (and likewise PLS) displays don't have the raw response times that TN panels do but the viewing angles and color accuracy of TN panels kill me.

If only they would make glossy screens. Y'all don't know how dull these monitors look compared to glossy IPS panels. The AG coating on these Ultras suck ass

16:9 stuff can be better for movies and some games. Other than that, yes, 16:10 is better. Edit; the specs on the Chinese page indeed confirm it's x1200 like the U2410. tongue.gif

The AG issue is really overblown... it seems to depend what kind of light you use it in, really. It's getting to be an obsession, like that with Korean monitors in general, and I have a gut feeling it's all gonna go wrong soon.

I thought it was too till I bought a Potallion. I have a U2210H next to my Potallion 27". Picture is impeccable on the 27." the AG really distorts the color a bit and dulls it. If you look at them side by side, you'll know. hell go out and get a cheap less AG coated screen and you'll notice that it has more pop than the dell Ultras.

I hope they never do. Glossy screens are nearly unusable if you have any lights on nearby (or windows, etc).

Did you calibrate both for the same targets?

I already went triple U2410 - too late for me .
No complaints though except the heat they generate in a small room .

that would be perfect for winter! biggrin.gif
