H50 is about 6 degrees (give/take) cooler then the Hyper 212. But then you can add fans to each and it will be wider perhaps. If you don't like a big heat sink and like it to look a little better then by all means grab a H50. Or if the price is right grab a H80/H100 if you can mount it. As I think the H80 is a little better and thicker rad is always welcome over the thin H50. Thanks

If you're willing to drop the cash on an H80 and some respectible fans, go high end air cooling. The TR Silver Arrow/SBE and Phanteks PH-TC14PE flatten the H80, at a drastically lower noise level.

do kind need the space as my Hyper 212+ block a ram slot and my case can't support H100

You are talking about a huge and heavy heat sink(s) also. Depending on what case he has it may not even fit though.

Grab the H50 then and call it a day. And if you are happy then sell the Hyper 212 to someone and get some money back. Or keep it for a backup. Thanks

It was merely a suggestion. H80s are disappointing and overpriced.
