Poor borderlands 2 performance on a Quad Sli with dedicated physx - Page 2

Might be an optimization issue. I would suggest to remove your physx card for better fps.

I'm having this issue as well along with my friend who has tri sli 470's. I have a EVGA gtx 670 4 gb. I opened up a thread over at the EVGA forums. One of the guys benchmarks his EVGA gtx 670 FTW card and only dropped below 60 FPS one time. This issue seems to be happening to a select few people. I've re installed drivers, pretty much everything I could think of. Doesn't help one bit.

Here's the benchmark the guy did for me comparing his GTX 670 FTW and GTX 570

If you are not going to play above 1440p (yes not even 1080p) then you should sell one of your 690 and use 690+680 which is tri-sli with only 2 cards. Turn physix to CPU. Then try the game. Tri-sli or tri-fire is known for lowest Micro-Stutter combo.

It can also be the game being just released and may need updates for SLI / Crossfire glitches. Same for Nvidia/ATI drivers.

The Quad SLI is pretty overkill unless you're playing on multi display 1080p+ with 3D. Even just a single 690 would be more than enough. Oh.. and there's a 680 for physx? hmm.. some people just have too much money I guess tongue.gif

With nvidia you cant do that. A gtx690 wont tri sli with a 680 even tho they are the same card really.

Also, I've had my frames go down to 16 FPS before in heavy skirmish. I've tried setting the cpu for Physx and that made it worse. I would say there's something wrong with the game but only a few people are having this problem.

Have done a clean install. Still same darn issue. Strange thing is even way more taxing games run a lot better.

Also Have tried Sli and Tri Sli - still the same issue. In fact the quad sli runs way better than with regular SLI.

Have tried Quad and Tri and Just SLI. Same thing. Game falls into the low 50s in intense firefights and sometimes when there is tons of debris lying around.
