Duel monitor question

I am planning a buying a new monitor to run with the one I already have. The monitor I am using is connected via HDMI, my graphics card has only one HDMI slot, however it does have dvi slots. My question is can I run two monitors off that card with having the main one connected HDMI and the other with DVI? I know I can run both DVI because there are two of them on the graphics card, I would prefer to keep my main one HDMI though. So anyone ever try doing this or have any info? Thanks for the help!

Yes, You can get a DVI to HDMI connector or you can just use the DVI to a DVI input on the new monitor. I do the same thing with my HD4850

This is the adapter if you are interested in using one

It'll work- dual monitors will be fine, its when you go 3 that things get a little more complicated.

Yes, you can go either way. HDMI + DVI, or HDMI + DVI->HDMI converter.

I'm doing the same thing.
