Using Intel HD3000 for live / recorded sports in 1080i - Help with settings.

Thread Starter
I recently built the "femputer" build and due to folding on my ATI cards in there, I'd like to try the HD3000 integrated graphics of my 2500k for htpc purposes. I've tried it of course, but I cannot get the settings right. Skin tones are off, noise reduction is poor, etc. Compared to my ati 6670 it just looks terrible. So i'm turning to you guys for some help.

I basically watch a lot of NBA basketball recorded at "highest" settings using windows media center. So the HD3000 will have to deinterlace and hopefully contrast enhance and noise reduce in real time. I'm not sure if HD3000 is up to this task but I did successfully overclock it to at least 1500mhz in the bios so hopefully that helps.

So anyone responding, please post the following:

1. Can HD3000 do all that I wish, even?
2. What settings do you use for noise reduction, skin tone, etc?

Thanks as always!

I'm no expert in this area, but I do have the Intel HD3000 gpu, and it does stream 1080p fine, with the main bottleneck being the network. So you should be good! biggrin.gif

Intel has come a long way from the 1156/775 Intel Media Accelerator blah blah gpus tongue.gif

1080p is one thing but adaptive deinterlacing tv is another. I guess when I get home on monday i'll check to see how it does with something like the nba finals. I was hoping someone who uses their hd3000 for sports could let me know their exact settings. I can't seem to get them right in the intel setup.
