i've been looking at come benchmark and they seem pretty close in performance. is the 660ti worth an extra $70 over the regular 660...?

are you sure you want to go with nvidia? because AMD has recently dropped the prices on their high-end cards. HD 7950s are between $280-$330, and i think you would get a better deal there. or you could do what I did - I bought a XFX Double D HD 7870 black edition for $220 after rebates

take a look at this - http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html both cards i mentioned have a higher rating than the 660 series

My trigger finger has been active this last week, but I'm gonna wait till after Xmas, I'm sure it will be worth the wait, my 460 can hold on till then.
OP: Wait for the price drops, unless you have the itch, and the cash...

im sure you could overclock the 660 to the Ti performance level easily, so unless you were planning to massivly overclock the Ti and are basing your descition on that, get the 660, or as another has said, get an ATI if you are looking for performance/price value.
