Need Headphones for Music, Games, Serious Audiophiles Please.

Hey there folks, looking for some "ÜbërhassïN" headphones for gaming and music, I have the Yamaha HTR-5740 amp, so I can drive any headphones that otherwise I couldn't without an amp as I've heard some fones sound bad without an external amp. I'm going to be driving the sound with the Fatal1ty Pro with Xram, ect ect ect...sound card, The perticular price range I'm in is somewhere around the Sennheiser HD-595/600, so, that means under 300usd, I just wanted to know if there are any other nice companies other then Sennheiser that have options for gaming, music in this price range, Also the bad side for me is that the Sennheiser "leaks sounds" out of the phones therefore limiting me to low volumes during nightime shinanagins on fps games. .. My question about this, As I personally don't know exactly how loud such sound leaks are, if anyone has any experience with the Sennheiser 555, 595 and 600 models, how much sound they leak and is it noticable, in say..another room, or across from a room.

Thanks for everyones suggestions, also I am advising no microphone headphones, as that would be a luxury, but is also doesn't help as I cannot use my Amplifier stated in the beginning for its power and sound benefit. I'll just buy an external mike. )

Also, you dont have to me thee exact model of a certain headphone , just the company that manufactures it or a weblink, I can find the model suited for me in my price range, and find out if it is worthy for my ears via review. Although if you have great experience in a certain model and recommend it greatly, no doubt link it out.

All you Audiophiles, thank you so much for your help, appreciate everybit.

Current liking, : Sennheiser HD-600

hey, while the HD600's are great cans, it is widely accepted that the HD595's are slightly better all-around cans from what I understand. But it could be a price point thing as well.

For gaming, the DT770-80's are generally considered the best gaming can. they are closed so you don't have to worry about keeping people up.

Audio Technias are also very popular for gaming. the ATH-A500's are a popular can at the $100 price point, and the 700's and 900's improve on them.

I use Senn HD595's for gaming, although I find Koss A250's acceptable as well, and the Senns are great all around cans, and they get the most use out of all the headphones I own. As far as being open... someone will hear what you're listening to if they're standing within a few feet, but across the room you'll be alright and definitely if they are in the next room they won't have any idea what you're doing.

Thanks for opening 2 new brands to me, I will look into and research them, but so far my choice is Sennheiser HD-600s with Cardas Cable, dang the cable is pricey but I read it improves the sound quality by a large margin,

Thanks again bud.

Grado makes some great headphones, but there is a legitimate reason why I didn't list them in my suggestions.

1. Grados have a limited sound stage which makes them not very good for gamin
2. they are open and leak more sound (in and out) then the other cans I suggested (even the open Senns)
3. Grados have a forward/aggressive sound to them that many find fatiguing after a while so they aren't suited for long listening periods

All that said, you'll be hard pressed to find a better rock/metal headphone! and the SR60 is a great price/performance point
