Need Video Card Help

Thread Starter
So I finaly orderd almost all my parts for my new build, but I need one last bit of help. I need to find a pci-e vid card that wont break the bank. Not sure what to go with my setup but at this point I have only about $200 left that I can spend on this. Heres what I got so far.

Intel core 2 E6600
2x1gb corsair DDR2 PC5400
Asus P5N-SLI Premimum
Thermaltake Toughpower 750W modular PSU
Thermaltake Mozart TX box tower
6 SATA Harddrives

Im only going to water cool the CPU with a Danger den 775 block. The case is going to have like 11 120mm fans.

I want a good 512MB card but im not sure I should go Nvidia or ATI. As soon as everything arrives I want to pick up the Vid card localy, perferably at best buy.

You made a huge mistake by buying that mobo, PSU, and maybe RAM

If you have the option of sending it back, do it

Get a X1950 Pro and another power supply, the Thermaltake Toughpower 750w has an unstable 4th 12v line. If you load all 4 with 14A and it reaches a reasonably normal temprature for a power supply, it shuts off. And it's supposed to hold 4 x 18A.

Here is what is so wrong about this picture:

The CPU already runs cool enough, no need for water cooling and why I said that? Because you'll never ever, never in your life, never in this lifetime, never in this century, you will be able to overclock that CPU so high that it will require water, so big waste of money there along with an nForce board. And a 520W PSU is more than enough for that set-up, because as I said, you'll never be able to overclock that high, so no need for a 750W PSU.

I will guess (with that avatar) you work at best buy, that's why you want it from there and because you'll get your employee discount, well, your best bet is the BFG 7950 GT which is $350, would that be near $200 after your discount? I don't think so but if it is, good.
