Roku XS/XD or AppleTV

I am in love with my netflix in my room, but my bigger tv in my living room as no access to netflix at all. I'm thinking of getting a roku for sure for the living room, but im stuck between the XD/XS.

Only big thing to me, is the remote & MAYBE the usb slot. I am unsure if the XS has a remote controller at all, on the website it only really mentions the XD. But the XD remote is a motion control remote; and im guessing thats for games.

AppleTV, just seems more simple, but i'm not an apple person, so i dont really have any pictures nor videos on itunes/icloud.

I am mostly using it for netflix.

I would say go for the XS. The usb port and ethernet port are what tipped it for me. The remote for the XS is bluetooth as well so you don't need line of sight unlike the XD with a IR remote. Don't bother with the AppleTV if you don't already invest in the Apple ecosystem as I don't think it is worth it. If you have any questions about the Roku let me know. BTW check these links for deals direct from Roku.

Is the XS really worth the $20? My living room is hella spacious so the whole IR thing doesn't seem to be an issue.

For me it was. I have bad wifi spots on some of my TV's so the ethernet port worked wonderfully. The games are a nice bonus too but only by a small margin. The usb port is nice as well if you hook up a portable HD no need for a media server then. In the end I would spend the extra 20 if you have it to spare. As far as the remote goes it is much easier to hide with the bluetooth remote than IR. If non of those things are of interest to you then no the XS isn't worth it.
