Amd fx-8150 or intel i5 2310???? - Page 4

you didnt ask about overclocking you just said for gaming... also you cant overclock with a h61 board as far as in know. someone did ask why you called it a k version which indicates unlocked multi and you didnt answer soo your fault buddy. imho if you had a 1055t tit wasnt worth upgrading the cpu and mobo, i dont know much bout amd boards but couldnt you have got a way better amd chip and kept your mad board???

I5 for gaming
i5 2310 is a better gaming chip but is not really an overclocking chip, buy a 2500k if you want an overclock. the AMD FX chip will perform worse in games

If you want to overclock buy an overclocking chip simples thumb.gif

The i5 2310 should blitz through gaming much better than any AMD equivalent for price.
Your 2310 should be able to beat my 1090T (Stock, I wouldn't of though it could beat me OC'd but.. It'd be close)

Infact nearly all specimens of the i5 should beat any AMD processor. (This statement being said with stock clocks all around and with gaming in mind).

You said gaming, pure gaming, so we told you i5.
No one recommended the 8150/8120 at all.

If you wanted amd, you could always return it, use your 1055, because its not bad at all for gaming, and wait for steamroller.

I have another option...
Buy a amd quardcore with costly Oc motherboard....become same price of of i5 2310 with small regular mobo...or stay on i5 2310 for gaming...
what will u choose....

Return the i5, keep the X6, and get a new GPU.
