TCTL temperature doesn't mean anything when the chip is idle. AMD's specification state TCase(CPU/Max) as measure point.

I could easily get to 4.2, wasn't p95 stable though, the 5th core would always mess up and then a bsod would happen. Was stable for everything else though, gaming, music, movies, whatever. My voltage was 1.45 btw

Not to knock your OC or anything, but if it can't pass Prime95, chances are there are silent data corruptions going on in the background. Prime isn't the best with these chips though, nor IBT. Folding@Home is my new testbed I think, it crashes my perfectly stable OC without a few tweaks to the VRM settings or more vCore. Lol

I admit that I don't know a whole hell of a lot about how to OC, but if I'm stable for a four hour gaming session then that's pretty much good for me, besides I'm never going to stress my machine the way prime would.

i would still prime over that. ive done that. then it would crash in windows randomly. run prime for atleast another 4 hours.
Doesn't matter atm since it won't boot, post, or even beep. But the only bswod i would get would be in prime, no other time at all, no random ones either

I skimmed through all the posts and i didn't see one mention of the fact it's an Extreme 3, the extreme 3 is 4+1 phase VRM which are not the best for OCing. i'm not saying this board has VRM issues, it indeed is recommended http://www.overclock.net/t/946407/amd-motherboard-vrm-information-list however 8+2 like the Extreme 4 tends to be better.

This would have been super useful early on, guess I need a new motherboard (This one doesn't crossfire anyway, and I'm planning on 6950x2)

Not only that you have budget grade cooling. You need a better CPU cooler if you want the best speeds out of that X6.
