Third best thermal compound?

Besides Liquid Ultra and Diamond IC, what else can fill in the 3rd place? I only know Arctic Silver 5 but i believe there should be something better.

Compared to those two Freezing Point would actually be better, putting Liquid Ultra in 3rd

I'm trying to choose a thermal compound for the IHS and heatsink. And i can't choose liquid ultra because of the aluminum corrosion, can't go with diamond IC because the diamond dust said can be damaging the CPU die.

There's an AC5+AC5 benchmark that holds the 4.5GHz 3770K temp at 80C (176F) in room temp 24C (75F), which is no good if the room temp is 28-30C (82-86F).

Can't decide my alternative choice.

Aluminum?

There is no aluminum on your CPU, and you won't be doing any OCing if your heatsink is low end enough to have an aluminum base.

@Blameless The heatsink i'm using has direct contact with copper heatpipes but the sides are aluminum base, but mainly i just don't want to use any hazard material.

@ ski-bum Yeah found out Prolimatech PK-1 has thermal conductivity of 10.2 W/m while Gelid Extreme is 8.3W/m and AS5 is 8.7W/m.

Liquid Ultra is: 38.4W/m

And this crazy 85W/m one: http://circamicro.com/p-919087-smd291snl-solder-paste-no-clean-lf-5cc-syr.aspx

No i won't be using that for sure.

The info on amazon say Phobya HeGrease Extreme thermal conductivity is 8.5W/mK. Kind of like AC5 grade, only good for no-OC to minor OC.

Prolimatech PK-1 and 2 looks really promising at this moment.
