My super budget water cooling rig

So i decided to sell my H100 and see if i could buy a loop with the money, i got £70 for the cooler and then bought my new set up for £50!!! £20 up already then some coolant for £5 still up, then sold all my fans in my case and some other spare bits i had and raised another £35, so then bought some new fans to keep everything nice and cool. thumb.gif

A 24 hour leak test as it was 2nd hand

i bit old cpu block but does the business

The fans i bought push loads of air a bit loud but with a fan controller nice and quite

And all up and running

Very happy with the temps 8c down on the h100 and looks better smile.gif so if any thinks the water cooling is costly than look and what i got for the same price as the h100

H100 + around £80

2nd hand set £50 + coolant £5 + fans £12 for 2 = £67

maybe i got lucky but very happy that i took the gamble

Thanks for looking thumb.gif

Nice Find. Definitely looks better than the H100 imo.

Nice rig, and definitely a lot more expandability for future. I haven't tried the G-Silent 12s, but I have 18s and am very happy with them, wonderful cheap fans.

Even cheaper use distilled water, i just picked up 2L for £1.98 today.
Been using the same stuff for just over 3 years and yet to get even the slightest problem, i usually change water every 6 months and i get no gunk, corrosion or any other funky stuff going on in my loop thumb.gif

You did good anyway, id rather have your new loop than the H100, you have many upgrade options now smile.gif

@ the moment its 23c idle and 46 - 47 load on a 3.3ghz over clock as i think my cpu is dying (any more and bsod) mad.gif with H100 i was getting 30c idle and 60+ load so a bit happier, but i need to upgrade soon
