Borderlands 2 Different Viewpoints

Thread Starter
Can someone please tell me why there are so many negative reviews of this game?
I have not yet purchased it myself, but everything i seem to have read on other image boards and even on many video reviews are quite disappointing...why?!!?

^ This. This game is awesome. I can't do all the fancy PhysX on my little rig but, The game is a blast--absolutely hilarious at times. Co-op takes it to a whole other level too.

Edit: just go to TwitchTV and watch a stream to decide if it's for you or not; that's what I always do. Took me all of 15 minutes watching to decide it was a "buy" for me.

It's probably because not much of the game has changed. It's pretty much a remake of Borderlands 1. And it's pretty much also forcing you to play Co-op. You can literally get annihilated by a single group of bandits if you're playing by yourself.

Those were probably the reason why it got negative reviews but I still don't understand why there are so many bad reviews.

Seriously one of my favorite games Ive played in awhile. I have almost 400+ hours in BF3 and I stopped playing it to play BL2. So yeah its good. YOU HAVE TO PLAY COOP to get the full intent of the game.

I have been playing both single and multi player in this game, and to me both are equally addicting. The first game I was so addicted to just because it was completely different than anything I had played before, but single player was definitely easy. In this game, they make you work your ass off even playing alone. I love the ramped up difficulty.

Multi-player is a blast as usual and they definitely made it easier to just jump in someone's game.

I'm extremely happy with how this game turned out.

To answer your question, I guess I can't answer your question haha. Just though I would share my experiences.

I didn't play the first one, and picked up the second on a whim since a friend also purchased it. I have played through a few hours with my friend in co-op, and about an hour solo. I can tell you that IMO, co-op is FAR more fun than going solo. As far as gameplay and such, I think it's a very good game. ATM I'm waiting till the friend is available to play as I found solo pretty boring and frustrating.

Same, 700+ in BF3 and at this point, BF3 is the last thing on my mind. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
The Minecraft easter egg is amazing, the homage to Dark Souls is cool and the voice acting is hilarious sometimes...there's even a Rick Roll in it--killed a baddy and as he was dying he said: Never...gonna give...you up...never gonna.... Man that was so funny, literally could not stop laughing.
