Alright, I'll build a new PC after you're suggestions and see what the price ends at.

@Gunfire, for sure it will!

But I thought 670 SLI would be good, I'll also have two secondary screens (22")

Get a dual channel kit for Z77. Dual channel will offer you better performance than 4 single channel sticks. I recommend Patriot 8GBx2 or G.Skill Ares both sets are cheaper than what you listed.
For the motherboard: G1 Sniper 3 or ASRock OC Formula or Asus ROG V Formula
The fans that come with the Corsair cooler are the same as the SP series fans. If looking for case fans, buy something in the 800 to 1200rpm range.
Power Supply: I would try and pick up a Gold rated for the same price. Capstone for 103.99 shipped from Newegg Gold rated efficiency
What res are you gaming at? 670 SLI is a waste for 1080p.

1) He lives in Norway... Newegg prices don't match up ( USD vs Nok)
2) If GTX 670 SLi is a waste for 1080 well then so is GTX 680 4GB !

3) GTX 670 SLi for 1080p isn't a waste at all. You try running Metro2033 at ultra settings at that res. and your FPS are in the low 30ties. With 2 cards it's double up to 60. When I played Metro2033 with 3x GTX 580 i went from 30 to 60 to 90 FPS by going from 1-2-3 cards.
Also SLi isn't just about more performance but also making it possible to enable the best picture quality options without loosing performance. thumb.gif

Sorry, but IMO it just looks hideously unusable for a desktop PC and seems as restrictive as iOS in terms of its "apps" and Microsoft's store. I for one will stick with Windows 7 for ever, or at the very least until they release Windows 9 when 8 fails harder than Vista...

Everyone has their own opinions on Windows 8. I recommend you do some searching around the internet for comparisons between Windows 7 and Windows 8 (look specifically for benchmarks) rather than take the objectionable advice from people, like this article for example.

I did not realize he was from Norway.

For 1080p 680 4GB is all anyone would need. Even a 2GB would be enough. However, the 4GB models offer higher overclocks. According to this a single 680 gets 59 fps in Metro 2033. It is a waste of money to get 670 SLI at 1080p. If you plan on going to a higher res then yes it is worth it. If you are going to a higher res then you may as well buy a 7970 because they seem to perform better at 1440 and up.

SLI does not scale like that. You cannot just say oh a single 670 gets 30 fps so SLI would be 60. Depends on the game, drivers, and scaling. What picture quality settings do you get from using SLI?? (besides having dedicated physx)

I never said it scaled like that. I simply posted that pic which I took from Tomshardware. And it's nothing to discuss coz I already got the GFXs and I'm really happy with what I ended up with, two 670s.

I got the case, mobo and the two gfxs yesterday and the rest will be at my house in the end of the day. Hopefully everything will work properly! thumb.gif
