Things that I would need some more advice on would be a decent case and a cooling system (I was suggested going water cooled by Innovatek) and I think that would pretty much sum that up.
Still have cash left over which looks like I'll be investing that into a decent 24-26" monitor (or perhaps even 3 lol)
Personally, I would grab the Samsung Wonder Ram. They overclock like crazy and are pretty cheap. Ram speed really doesn't really matter too much (in your situation) anyways.
Don't Raid 0 the drives, if you care about longevity, you do not wan't a high failure rate. Personally I would just raid 1 unless you NEED 4TB of space. Then raid 1 4 x 2TB. Either way, your HDDs are for storage, you don't need the speed, especially not with a SSD.
On normal budgets, I would suggest a 128GB SSD. Which still could be capable for you as well. A large SSD, like the one I have is almost useless. If you manage your ssd with only the games/ programs you are currently playing, 128GB is normally enough. My SSD is almost never past half full because I manage when I put on and take off of it with an application called steam mover.
Do you need win7 ulti? most people don't. Home premium is enough for about 90% of users, Pro is enough for about 9%.
Drop the AX1200 to a 650-750W or similar for only two cards.
If you are looking into monitors you should look into Catleaps on ebay. They are 1440p IPS monitors, they are amazing for the price.
If you are planning on a Surround setup(3 montiors), you should switch those 680s to 7970s they do much better at high res. I would probably even get 6GB models in your situation.Edited by Ironman517 - 9/26/12 at 6:37pm
