Hey. so um im sorry to keep going on with this but I haven't been able to find the time to do this yet, I plan to do it when my parents aren't home I told them about it but they are obviously skeptic. Just one more thing I need to know, do I remove the thermal pads first? That is all I need to know

remove everything you can without having to desolder stuff. use aluminum fail to protect capacitors and plastic pieces. then follow Xeb's directions.

i have baked GPUs before and it works fine. just gotta protect whats needed.

Ok thanks, here is a picture of my ps3's motherboard


Which ones are the capacitors? I assume the metal cylinders but do I rap all of them?

ok so I did it, the only thing that happened was my eject button doesnt work anymore but it was worth the try I guess
