OS recommendation for folding

Hey guys and gals just curious about what is the best operating system for my i7 3770K to fold on. I currently use v7 client in W 7 but I have heard that Ubuntu is much better for higher PPD's.

I don't know the reason but linux in general has higher ppd than windows. Most any version will do as I understand it, any *buntu distro in particular as they are user friendly to people just starting out in linux.
