Question about my PSU?

I have a pretty old computer now...

Specs below:

375 Watt Generic Dell PSU (The one that comes with Dimension 9200 Desktop)
Q6600 stock. (2.4 Ghz)
GTS 250 (Overclocking it)
4 Gb DDR2 Ram
2 160 Gb 7.2k RPM HDD's
1050x1680 monitor
Gaming mouse/ Mech keyboard
Soundcard (Xonard DG) with Ultrasone Pro 550's

How is all that still running without a single PSU crash on my part? The main thing I was always worried about is how my GTS 250 required a 450 Watt PSU when I was buying it. But my generic Dell PSU can not only run it when its well below the requirements, but it can OC it jut fine. Is it something that is bottlenecking the GTS 250 so it actually doesn't require as much (But since my OC actually does something I would guess not)? Or did I just get really lucky with this specific PSU from Dell?

Ive been running this setup for 2 years now and have always wondered how my rig is still working. The computer (and PSU) is actually 4-5 years old and I never turn off my computer. Maybe once a month to clean it up but it is usually up running 24/7. Everything that I read online about PSU's tells me that my computer shouldn't be running right now.

Just curious is all. I fully expect for my PSU to fail me at any minute now but it never does, even under the most stressful games.

Use a wattmeter and check the load, i would expect this to be under 250W, you could try and run the OCCT Power Supply tester.... Might see a little sparks.

But if this is running so low, why did the GTS 250 claim I needed a 450 Watt PSU?

Maybe that's the question I should be asking then.

It's an overkill recommendation for the entire system that covers for people who buy super cheap, generic PSU's that can't pull their rated wattage. The recommendation in no way reflects the actual power draw of the card itself because of this.

Then that should explain it. Thanks.
