i was thinking of mounting the rad on the underside of a shelf that is over the computer and have the reservoir also mounted somewhere on the outside of it then the rest on the inside or something like that

That will be sufficient just make sure you get a good Pump like the MCP655. Good luck on your build all i can say is you will have lots of fun!

thanks and i am still having trouble finding a good pump to use i figure im probably going to be using at least 15 feet of tubing for it but i dont know what pump would work with that while keeping a good lmp flow any suggestions would help a lot

Honestly there's really two good pumps people will reccomend to you either an MCP35x or a D5 (like Alphacool VP655)
