One day someone asked how common hitting 2ghz memory is, because somebody claimed it wasn't common. On that day, two people hit 2ghz, and another person hit it very soon after. If I recall, PROBN4LYFE also broke some FSB records around that time...or at least the non-suicide ones.

same problem here....666 core 800 mem, but when i set the modules http://www.infineon.com/upload/Docum...2005-08-18.pdf higher than 800 a freeze and then a reboot........ Edit: some more infineon memory info: http://www.infineon.com/cgi-bin/ifx/...geTypeId=17099.....check if you have infineon memory, what version it is so you can find out the basics for the ram, or search for the datasheet for your modules......

Seriously, concentrate on the core. That were most of the benefits are.

You should run a 3dmark test when you raise those clocks to see if you are actually improving performance. I can raise the clocks on my 7600 way past the point where my scores go down. I have NEVER seen 7600 memory clocks past 940 or 950. As far as I know I have about the highest clocks going for 7600 cards 777/920. My advice is to do the pencil v-mod and but a Zalman vf900 cooler. Then you can push those numbers up.. 720-740 core and 900-930 memory seem to be the max OC... after that, scores go down, artifacts happen, and games freeze.

LoL... thanks man... I just took a nice art pencil and shaded the shizzle out of it. Then I taped off the two spots so the graphite would stay. After that I just started pushin' the clocks a little at a time and playing games. I've been raising the clocks for about a month now. This is definitely the MAX for my card. It would never be possible without the Zalman cooler. I keep wondering if I could get another 7600 and run an OC'd SLI config. I bet 2 of these at this speed would surprise.

I run 3dmark05 and 06 along with the artifact test to ensure stability. I play alotta FEAR and it never hangs. I do drop the clocks to a modest 740/900 for everyday 24/7 use.

Oh, I did NOT flash the BIOS... just did the pencil v-mod and added the Zalman
