I too also have this problem, so I am interested to hear what others have to say. 700w RMS right under my desk is definitely hard to tame. Mouse, keyboard, monitor, bookshelf speakers, soda cans....they all like to move around when at full blast. frown.gif And I'm not even talking about "light" equipment either. 30" monitors and large bookshelf speakers are honestly pretty heavy.
Only thing I've found is to turn it down. Perhaps layering the desk with some sound dampening material might help, but I'm not sure on that to be honest. It works in cars really well though.
Does your room have carpet? Cause maybe you could have the bass facing the floor so the carpet maybe be able to dampen the shakes? Just a though lol

Wall to wall tiling ... unfortunately ...

Also, moving the sub hasn't helped ... Under the desk is just as bad as when I extend the sub cables and stick them in my kitchen (6-9ft from the pc)

Well really anyway its bass, it shakes due to the excess use of air, you can't help it, my room shakes also but thats a sub for you

You need some dampening material. Get a throw rug to put under your desk along with a small one for the sub to sit on. Honestly I know it isn't cheap but the best solution is to carpet the floors. If you look at any profressionaly done theater rooms the floor is carpeted and the walls have dampening materials as well. Two throw rugs will absorb the floor vibrations and wil greatly fix your problems. An educated guess is that the problem is being caused from the vibrations when the sub "punches" are traveling through the floor. In high end subs you will find that the feet are specificaly designed to help eliminate that vibration as much as possible.

@ Pioneerisloud : Think that is bad, try a Polk Audio PSW505 or a Velodyne 12" or 15". Thing will nearly shake the foundation of your house. My buddy had one and it was insane. One day I want to try gaming on a Velodyne 1812 Overture...........roughly a 450lbs subwoofer, ok well two lol. It is a 18" stacked on top of a 12" running at 2,500w RMS (yes you did read that right).

Read the last couple lines, I want to be in that room!

@#$%@%@#%@#%@#% Apparently they don't make it anymore. Go figure the thing cost $25,000. When they made it, it was claimed to be one of the best and most obscene subwoofer's in the world.

Get or make an isolation platform like the auralex gramma from guitar center or amazon. It is made for this type of situation. It keeps things from rattling while cleaning up the bass and minimizing vibration and window rattling. Used by anyone who is serious about home theater or wanting to keep everything from rattling, including desks wink.gif
