Think long-term.

Since these announcements started, the stock dropped, instantly.

Not to say their stock is going to plummet but, breaking apart a partnership due to spite, does not bode well to the american public.

I think this is going to have a very bad effect on Apple long-term...

Thus, absolutely, good product, terrible business sense.

I hear ya, but don't forget who chose to be who's competitor.

I really hate when I see people site price as a reason to not go with an iPhone. Specifically people from the US.

It's funny, when people argue that the iPhone is overpriced, the response is "It costs the same as any flagship Android phone..." Yet they turn around to say "You're mad because you can only afford an Android and not an iPhone. iPhone vs. Android is just like Ferrari vs. Honda, not everyone can afford a Ferrari so many people buy a Honda," when someone is commenting about their preference. I mostly find it funny because the anecdote is a horrible one; they're not worlds apart in performance nor price.

I'm not referring to you, by the way, I just see it a lot.

Advertising from maps is 25% of the mobile ad market. I hate apple but they would be stupid not to have their own map app.

Lordikon you knew this post was coming when you made that statement.

It is NOT the most valuable company in history. It is the most valued STOCK price in history. Its actual overall value is determined by equity, assets, and liabilities, and I am 100 percent certain that there are a few oil companies that would object to you making that statement.

Exxon Mobile, General Electric, MICROSOFT, CitiGroup, Bank of America (which has about a TRILLION in assets just in mortgages alone), Walmart, AIG (too big to fail), Altria (you know the owners of phillip morris) JP Morgan Chase, Berkshire Hathaway (1 share of stock in this company is 107,000 dollars)

In comparison The Market Cap of Apple is 75 BIllion. Intel is 124 Billion... Not even close to the numbers we get from the big oil company and General Electric.

So their stock price is around the 700 dollar mark. Big freaking deal.

Assets - Liabilities.
