But i only have my 1tb drive in my ssd comes in tomorrow. Can i go ahead and install windows on this drive then just reinstall it on my ssd or should i wait?

There should be a tab on your fan. Align that with the pins.

When you plug in the fan there is only one way to plug it in, theres the notch and it will only line up one way.

See, it only lines up one way. ^ But it does matter because if you did manage to put it in wrong it would not be good, either the mobo would keep shutting down or you'd burn the trace for the power for it right off of the mobo (i did that once lol).

I'd just wait until the SSD comes.

That temp is fine.

yeah lol the guy told me before i messed anything up. So i now have all my case fans plugged up the right way on the mobo.

Also i'm i am going to wait on the SSD even tho its so tempting to just start it up and test it....

That pk1 might be in tomorrow as well. Should i go ahead and redo that or wait and check temps? also how would i remove the paste just a dry rag or what?

Definitely replace it as soon as you get the paste, then you wont have to do it later when you discover your temps are too high.

You can wipe off most of it with a paper towel or something but afterwards I like to take a little paper towel or a Q-TIP and put some rubbing alchahol on it and that will take any of the remaining paste right off.

Wow, I thought your last minute find of the 7970 was too good to be true. That's awesome! thumb.gif I hope you keep having this kind of luck throughout the rest of your build!

Good choice on the PK-1.
