Simple Gallery

I'm building myself a very simple webpage with my design portfolio. Since I'll be continuing to upload photos and images, I'm looking for a very simple gallery that doesn't take multiple steps to get things on the site. For example, I really like and have used Highslide in the past but I have to resize images, create thumbnails, and then add the links to the code. I'd prefer something where I can just create a folder and upload my images and/or delete images and have the gallery take care of it. Anyone know of anything like this? I'd prefer to not use Wordpress or equivalent unless there is a really good reason as it is extremely overkill for the 3-4 pages my site will have.

There are multiple galleries that can connect directly to a Flickr/Picasa feed with sounds like it might be axactly what you are looking for. These use jQuery which would make them cross-platform and simplistic to implement.

This is a simply to use gallery.
Unzip it where you want it
Give the images folder write permissions
Drop in the images
Load the page once to generate the thumbs
Change the css to make it look the way you want it to look
Done
