corsair platinum 2400mhz or 2133mhz?

Ey! hello, I've done a post like this before but it was about which memory should I buy, now I decided for this one....
The problem is, which one? The specs are I7 3930k (with OC of course), gtx 690, Asus rampage fornula V.

2400mhz will be dangerous? not stable? thanks smile.gif

BTW: I need this for...Today or tomorrow because I have to order it.

I personally don't think you will see the difference between the two or even 1866 for that matter so if you have to choose between those two, I would probably go with the 2133 set as it may help with overclocking. However, they're both extensively tested at their rated speed so theoretically they will both be as stable as one another!

Hope I helped.

So, at 2400 mhz its more dangerous than 2133....but can I set the 2400mhz at 2133 if there is a problem with it running at 2400?

I don't think there is going to be that big of a difference. I also think you should consider dual 4GB 670s or 4GB 680s instead of a 690, but thats not the question you asked smile.gif

yeah, that is not the question I asked but thanks anyway smile.gif I thought about it, but Im buying it on USA, my bro bring it to me from USA to Argentina, so I can't buy 2 cards. Anyway I preffer 690 because it will run cooler.

This here.

EDIT: Got ninja'd. Ge the lower speeds and be happy as this is going from the USA to Argentina. If anything fails, sending it back is the thing you would least want to do.

Higher speed memory (above 1600MHz) will show no improvements except in Benchmarking.
Lower memory timings (e.g. CL7 1866MHz) would be faster in the real world than 2133MHz with CL10. 2400MHz might have even slower timings than that to achieve those high speeds.
Point is, look for low memory timings along side the memory speeds....

I think you are right, Just ordered platinum 1866 with better latency than 2133 smile.gif

No more questions! thank you guys!
