I dont really want to bother with SLI to be Completely Honest, just that I know since I dont play NEW Games, and cant afford new titles anywho, that a second GTX 275 would deliver Very well, and allow me to step up into higher AA.
But SLI is not something I am very interested in lol, So Im not sure what to do =/
I have a 4870 in another rig with an i3 540 and as long as I turn down the settings BF3 runs fairly well, I don't know of many games that are more demanding than BF3 right now and you've said you don't play new games as well.
Because your card should play almost any game (with lower settings if necessary), I'd say if money is tight then stick to one of the cards you've got and sell the other one for whatever you can get for it.
I also don't think a 560 is worth moving up to, it's got lower power consumption and directX 11 over those cards and a bit of extra performance but if you're upgrading from a 275 it probably wouldn't be a massive upgrade in terms of performance.
SLI would use a decent bit of power but if you got another 275 for less than the sale of the 4890 brought in it could be an idea. Personally if money was tight I'd just try and sell it.
I'm not in your place so you know things I don't, the above is just what I think I'd do in your position. Good luck selling or trading the 4890 either way though.
