I'm not even one of those "RAHRHARHA GIVE ME MY PRIVACY!! GUBBERNMENTS RAHRAH" type of guys, but I literally refuse to use facebook.

It just seems like everyone is just there, in your business, all the time.

Either that or someone else is just there, trying to tell you their business, all the time.

It also doesn't help that a marriage in my family self destructed due to facebook exposures.

I'm scared to touch the thing now lol.

Nobody has any privacy anymore. Govt and multinational corps think they have the right to any and all information about you. In fact I'm sure some government agent is sipping on a latte as he is accessing OCN through a backdoor and reading our private messages and laughing at them.

Completely agreed, I am a facebook user and people just like exposing their business and sniff into other's business as well. I use it for finding old friends (found old friend from Germany that I hadn't talked to for about 7 years) as well as University news (we have a group that people post) and talking with friends because many refuse to use msn. Also I post some songs or funny videos to my friends and that's it, no status = diary and no pics = whole life

Indeed, I don't feel safe using Facebook for my basic communication with friends on the internet, and the same with using the internet. Gotta be careful.

On Facebook It's like 50% of the people are sniffer dogs, sniffing around your information, who you are and talking about you, and then you have those people who write their life stories "Just came to my 'yard'" "Just woke up", "Just did this, just did that" What is this?? write a few things but not your life story, people are infectious on Facebook, I find twitter safer, secure and more isolated so you haven't got people you don't know watching you.

Technically their still PMs but Public Messages instead of Private Messages, I tell you.

I have been using Facebook since late 2007 and the private instant messenger/email has always been there. The messages that were being displayed were from 2007 to 2009
