MSI Afterburner does not work

Thread Starter
Hello everyone!

I already used MSI Afterburner with my Nvidia GTX 570 Phantom a few months earlier and it worked well.

Now it does neither save my settings to a profile (the number gets white, thats all) nor apply my settings when clicking "apply".

What can this be? At first i did not want to run a program all the time to keep the OC settings active, but its quite easy to use.
Now Afterburner just wont do anything.

Are there alternatives to Afterburner, perhaps even permanent methods which do not have to run all the time?

I would use Afterburner along, if we would get it back working smile.gif

Thanks in advance!

Greetz,

have you tried uninstalling afterburner then reinstall it? download the latest version and reinstall, sounds like something corrupted the file, have you installed any new software before this happened?

agree. Uninstall AB then download the 2.2.4 version. AB doesn't play well when you try to update it by installing the new one over the old one. I had somewhat of the same issue AB just didnt want to work for me. After reinstalling it. It ran just fine

jlhawn and CyberDemonz101 were right:

The MSI Afterburner seems to have issues when updating or even fresh installing.

I uninstalled my Afterburner, rebooted and reinstalled it. I repeated this 3 times because it did not work and now it works perfectly.
CPU-Z shows the correct overclock values and Afterburner is saving the profiles too.

It looks like this error is not uncommon.

Thanks to jlhawn and CyberDemonz101 - this thread is

solved!
