What do you mean by 'stick with turbo'?

If I'm right the 1090t's have an automatic overclock of 3.6Ghz.. Core boost or whatever its called.
(You shouldn't need to manually overclock to 3.6Ghz unless you want it at 3.6Ghz all the time)

the drop to 800mhz is a cooling feature that powers down the cores when usage is low

when you overclock this can disable this feature

check to see if cool'n'quiet and c1e are enabled in bios under cpu options

Alright plenty of good advice here ^^^

The 1090T x6 Phenom II is a stock 3.2ghz beast with the ability (when needed by the CPU) to clock 3 cores to 3.6ghz till the job is done or thermal limit it hit!. I was using that basically for my 1st year. Then I disabled c1\turbo\cool n quiet and made all 6 cores clock to 3.6ghz via the bios (recommend new cpu cooler) And just recently with the help of most of the above peeps in this thread managed to get a stable 4.0Ghz OC.

Even sticking one of these lil bad boys on each VRM chips or 1 between 4 will yield great results
want a solid one to go across all of them really but that will give you an idea biggrin.gif

I enabled C1e support and Cool 'n' Quiet was already enabled, and it seems to have done the trick. I now have a range of overclock between 800MHz to 3600MHz and CCC doesn't need to be open for this to work.
