---URGENT---

So I decided I'd try updating the BIOS on my motherboard, the Intel® Desktop Board DZ77BH-55K. I used the integrator toolkit it came with and downloaded the latest BIOS and pressed install. It proceeded to shut down but it didn't start back up. It's stuck in a loop of turning on for 1 second, and then turning off for a seconds. Should i press the power button and try manually restarting or what? I just don't want to brick my motherboard :S

Try resetting the bios. Using the bios jumper and turning off the power and hitting the power button. This will drain the remaining power out the board. You can also take the battery out also if you like to do that. Wait a minute and reverse the order. Thanks

So I should turn off the power, and THEN put the jumper in? Or put the jumper in first?

I tried putting the jumper on the other two pins but it's still stuck in the loop of powering on for 1 second and shutting off. Is the jumper not working or is the motherboard just bricked?

You have to power down the pc before resetting the bios. Some boards has a reset switch on the board or the back of the i/o plate. But since you have a jumper, shut it down. Unplug the power supply cord. Then take the battery out and move the jumper to clear it. Then press the power button on the case to drain the power out the board and other devices. Let it set for a minute and then redo it all again and power it on. Thanks
