I think that's going a bit far. The controls and primitive visuals cripple the games to no end.

I have to agree with you that, for the most part, AC2 has a very nice score. There were one or two downright retarded action tracks though - I heard one especially bad one while chasing a guard through a crypt.

First Far Cry, then Crysis.

You'll understand why wink.gif

By the way, prepare to get frustrated with both if you're not a rather seasoned FPS veteran when playing on maximum difficulty. Especially with Far Cry.

I think you can skip Far Cry, there are some weird programming bugs that were never ironed out like the enemies being able to see you from ridiculous distances or being able to hit you while you're hiding or something (I don't even remember it that well because I uninstalled it soon after playing it for a bit). Oh, and forget about Far Cry 2. It's not made by Crytek like the first one, and it's not a very good game. It's one of the few games I regret buying. Driving from one place to the other and then back, just to have to kill the same enemies you had just killed a while ago just because you drove past the what I'd call the "respawn border" is just one of the pathetic aspects of the game.

I do recommend you play Crysis, and if you like it, Crysis Warhead afterwards.

I've recently played Crysis 2, and, while the game is certainly enjoyable, it's nothing I'd call memorable. Fully maxed out in DX 11 and using high res textures, it surely looks good, but there is something about the game that I find lacking, you'll miss the openness of the first two, and the story doesn't quite get your interest. True, the first story wasn't anything spectacular and certainly not told in a spectacular way, but the journey you made through the island made up for it.

Batman Arkham Asylum is a great game, but be prepared for some frustration on the second half of the game because there are at least two bosses where you can clearly feel that the game was made with a Xbox 360 controller in mind and not a keyboard + mouse. Having said that, the rest of the game plays fine with a keyboard and mouse, you'll just have to get really good in order to beat those two bosses while playing with a keyboard and mouse, apart from that the game is really good and captures really well the cinematic spirit of Batman. It's as if you were almost playing a movie, the mood is quite right.

I never played Dirt, but I have Dirt 2 and it's quite an enjoyable game, so you might want to try it before trying Dirt 3.

Battlefield: I have BFBC2 and the single player campaign is quite good. I never played the multiplayer because I'm not really into multiplayer games except for a few games. That, and Origin is the reason I never bought BF3, because BF3 is mainly a multiplayer game, from what I've read the single player game doesn't last that long to be worth the asking price of the game (I'd never buy it because of Origin, at least until I get the feeling I can't trust EA, but that is another story).

The only thing I have to say about Borderlands is: if you enjoy the artistic style (I'm still deciding on it), be prepared to eventually make some changes to the game files because the default FOV makes me dizzy and the game's menu doesn't let you change it just like that.

Hey thanks for replying!

About Batman and keyboard: That's no problem as I use my old ps2 joystick with a usb adaptor. I play all games like that, except shooter of course.

You're welcome!

I just made two additions to my post. One paragraph about Crysis 2 and one about Borderlands.

Don't 'skip' Far Cry. That's ridiculous. Play Far Cry, then play Crysis.

Far Cry was is a great game, the only major issue is that landmass reflections on water have become irreparably broken since Vista. Most people don't even seem to notice this, but I think it's a terrible shame because Far Cry's water was one of it's most impressive assets. With Crysis, Crytek basically took Far Cry and improved on it in every conceivable way. But Far Cry still has it's own unique atmosphere and is a highly enjoyable experience (if you don't mind the missing reflections).

Forget 'Far Cry 2'. Far Cry without Crytek is as much a travesty as Age of Empires without Ensemble Studios. All Far Cry 2 has is a name - borrowed fame.

I guess it's worth a try. Even if I don't like it I can just stop playing it because of this "bugs". Thank you! biggrin.gif

Anyway, I want to finish borderlands 2, dirt 3 and batman arkham asylum first, so Crytek is gonna have to wait biggrin.gif
