Question to Galaxy S3+Otterbox Defender users

I have the setup mentioned in the title, and there is a very slight gap between the built-in screen protector and the screen of the device. Is it normal or should it be a very snug fit?

its normal. i have the same case and its just a little bit off.. doesn't really matter though. if you drop it, theres no way screen protector will help it from cracking. its more just for scratches, and its close enough that it should protect well enough.

Yeah. The gap is very small, but I can feel it easily when touching the screen, that there is a slight travel between the protector and the screen.

I don't really worry about scratches, but cracks in the glass worries me more. I've even read horror stories where people are saying that the screen cracked by itself overnight etc. I also saw a video on YouTube where someone described that his phone cracked by itself, and the comment section was full of people with the same issue.

I just wanted to add that my S3 can actually slide up or down within the case by roughly one millimeter. Making me have to adjust it by pushing from the USB port opening or the headphone opening in the case to make the home button and ear-speaker to align properly with the screen protector cut outs. I noticed that the phone wants to slide up, so I need to push it down from the headphone opening.

Is this also normal, or is my case broken/missing a piece that is suppose to secure the phone within the case? Are there any more users who can confirm that their cases are like this?
