So I was looking to grab a hd7850 but noticed that Asus has two versions of the hd7850, the original and the v2. Anybody know what this v2 is and what improvements it has?

don't know about improvements. though the display connectors are different.

the older version has a DVI port, HDMI and 2 mini Displayport.

the V2 version has 1 DVI-D, 1 DVI-I , 1 HDMI and 1 Displayport

also there are too many complaints on the ASUS cards. get a Sapphire HD 7850 2GB. excellent dual x cooler. very compact card.
