I haven't read through the entire 13 pages but to answer the OP question, no BD is not that bad. It is a very competent processor (especially the 8120/8150) that will do anything you need it to. The reason AMD took such flak for BD was really more because of the long delays and massive hype they themselves were responsible for generating. No CPU could have lived up to it, much less one that is rather underwhelming in the face of Intel's top offerings. Nonetheless it remains a competent chip with plenty of good qualities, chief among them being great value...

I'm going to clear up one thing about Bulldozer on windows 7 or windows 8 here.

Even with the patches on windows 7 or 8. Windows 7 or 8 will see a FX-8150 as a 4C/8T. So Windows 7 or 8 can't fully use these CPUs right. So It is bacically a 4 cores with 4 hyper threads.
So we this beening said.

Will there be a OS that can fully uses the Bulldozer CPUs?

So look at it this way.
Will a Intel 2600k beat a 2500k clock VS. clock?
Windows 7 and 8 sees the Bulldozer FX-8150 chip like a 2600k.
Meaning
FX-4*** like 2c/4t
FX-6*** like 3c/6t
FX-8*** like 4c/8t
Comparing Intel to AMD is like compairing apples and oranges.

So I have been wondering... With BD, we know that clock for clock it is slower than an x6. At what kind of clock speed would it need to surpass an x6 that is clocked at about 4ghz? And how easily can BDs reach towards 4.8-5ghz?

You are compairing apple and oranges again.
You can't get a FX-6*** to hit any where close to a Phonem II x6.
3c/6t can't match a 6c/6t and is what windows will see.
