burn in is not a problem

id rather a plasma over a led/lcd any day!!

the blacks are darker the response is immediate the refresh is incredible.
Blacks are better on a plasma...but refresh rate -> false
You can find 800hz LED's
It doesn't matter what the refresh rate is! Stop using the term "LED." They are just LCDs panels that are backlit by LEDs. No, LCD can not even compare to plasma in terms of refresh. No LCD is going to do 800 Hz. That's just asinine. They can't even pull off 60 Hz without ghosting and other gross artifacts.

Yeah id stick with the plasma, not the best plasma out there but it seems like a decent price, if its as the seller says, go for it.

Get the plasma dude. Burn in is pretty much a thing of the past. Heat.. it isn't a personal heater, hell i think my xbox runs warmer.
I've had mine for nearly a year with no no issues at all, I'm careful and never leave a game at a menu for over 30 minutes. it has happened before and i didn't see a burn in either.

Good luck thumb.gif

For the price it is definitely worth it. I only spent a second on it but as far as power consumption goes this one uses less (203<270) than LG's 60" LED smart tv... which is interesting. Burn in is a thing of the past, as said; my parents plasma tv sat on FOX for hours and the ticker would leave marks for a few minutes after but never stayed.

I'm sorry you really ought to look up LED's - especially FULL LED TV's

I don't really care what the OP goes for, just giving him info - considering I worked for LG for several months wink.gif
If you want plasma, for some odd reason - then Panasonic, NOTHING else for plasma's

I'm sorry that you have no idea what you're talking about. You can use LEDs to refresh, but it's not going to stop the ghosting of the LCD panel. If the LCD panel can't respond quick enough, it's going to ghost into the next frame no matter if there is an LED behind it blinking. These 2 and 3 ms numbers on LCD panels are complete lies, just like the plasmas that are marketed as having millions to one contrast ratios. I work for a web hosting company...it doesn't mean I can make web sites or build data centers.

Well dynamic contrast ratios are garbage anyways. Plasmas do have some awesome satic contrast ratios though
