Ok I think I got it going now I just have to figure out how to get it to work in games.

Now my gpu-z actually says physx though!

So it should beh more indicated the 650, but after your explanation I Think considering Batman2 the last one and that need at least the 460, is the 650 too close to the edge for the future games?

I would say you would be ok, but it depends on how well optomized the games are.

Metro 2033 hardly uses any Physx. I would say heaviest used are BL2, Batman AC, Alice, & Mafia 2. I believe a 430 would bottleneck another decent GPU in BL2.

He said he was getting 120fps. I rather not want to spend 100+ on a gpu that I am only using for 1 game. The guy who said only 3 - 5 games is correct, I would only buy this for borderlands 2 and possibly orcs must die 2 but even then I dont think I'd play it much, it be all about Borderlands 2.

Installing the card on the first or second PCIe slot won't make a difference, I've tested it; both slots work fine.

The amount of PhysX that was put into Borderlands 2 is beyond rediculous. Sometimes when playing on High there's moments where I can barely see because of so much crap flying around.

I get framerate issues when using the 470 for PhysX in BL2, dipping to bellow 40fps on intensive fights. Batman AC's PhysX doesn't cause slowdowns, and that's even after the game suggesting a 560.
BL2's PhysX is extreme.

For slot priority I meant: should I put the main card (7970) in a slot "before" of the physx card?
or is the no difference?

I have noticed. CPU rendered physx for Borderlands 2 causes me to slow down to 9fps. But I keep hearing people can get high physx with a 6950/7950 and a GT430. I don't know what to think anymore. I kind of want physx but I have got used to it without it. I guess its just a placebo really.

I would think you want at least a 460 or better to properly run with physx. I tried with a 9800 gtx+ and it would drop all the way down to 0 at times. My advice, if you want to see the eye candy load up a youtube video.

runs fine with 50$ GT 620. Just enabling PhysX your gonna take a hit, especialy on high. PhysX on medium, game looks great and plays great, never see it drop below 50fps. The only difference I can see/notice is elemental weapons dont generate the goo by just shooting, however you stil get goo where its important, caustic barrels etc.. some goo blood, just not an obscene amount. I could never get the GT 640 to work with all my titles, worked in borderlands, but the difference was nominal.

On a side note, I did notice that if i capped the framerate, the horrible stuttering seemed to go away for the most part. I think that was probably because my 7870 was trying to render much much faster than the 620 could keep up with and would cause pauses, jitters and the like.
