Need Immediate Help- Case Open to Upgrade

FINISHED thanks everyone smile.gif

I just opened my case and I don't know what anything is. I removed the old PSU (upper left hand corner that is empty, in picture below) and that is where my new PSU will go. Now, I'm trying to find my old GPU but I have no idea what/where it is. Specs are here so maybe someone will know what the GPU (graphics card) looks like.

Is the GPU more of a software or program in my computer?? If so, will my computer be ok when I put in the new graphics card?

If the GPU is a hardware, where is it? What do I remove? :C I'd like to have my computer up and running here shortly.

You have an onboard GPU, it is powered through the motherboard itself. There is nothing extra to plug into it.

Assuming it's PCI-E (99% chance it is) it goes into that long dark blue spot with the 1 tab at the end at the bottom of the pic

@B-Rock: Thanks biggrin.gif I'm getting the card set up right now.

@Pavillion: It's at least 2 years old. These are the only upgrades I can afford right now @_@; I plan to do more later. What do you suggest I invest in next?

I just started it up and now it's saying that I need to reboot and/or select a new boot device :/ What do I do?? I was having an issue with it starting up on a screen where I had to hit F2 to get it to continue to the log in screen, is that effecting my new PSU? (I think I found the problem)

Do you have the power going to your hard drive? You may have forgotten to plug it in when you were putting in the new power supply

I couldn't get one of the plugs into the second box on the right. I think it was the harddrive, "SATA". The BIOS said it was missing so I went in and asserted that plug into SATA. It's working now.
