Motherboard Decision....

Thread Starter
I recently purchased an e6600 however a month ago I bought a 7600 card that is an AGP bus.

Everyone is transitioning to pci-e......unfortunately... I need a motherboard with

SATA
DDR2
AGP 8x

I gave into upgrading my ram however I will simply not put any more money into graphics since I recently spent 200 on this 7600 GS

Looked EVERYWHERE. Cant find any that matches these specifications accept the ASRock 775 if anyone knows of any other than this PLEASE let me post a link

That's the only one I've found as well. Sorry, but the whole world has transitioned to PCI-E, and it's time for you to as well. Try selling the 7600 on eBay or something and just buy a 7600 GT PCI-E.

damn... not the answer I was hoping for.

Anyway. I do a lot of gaming. The only reason the ASROCK appeals to me is it leave me opportunity to eventually upgrade my card to PCI-E but still allowing me to keep my agp. Anybody know anything about this board at all?

Don't plan on doing any OC'ing on it although most of the reviews I have read state that they cant overclock past 300 on the FSB anyway so no big issue there. Thanks

You don't have any other choice but going with the Asrock :/

You could try returning (if you still can) the E6600 and getting a E6300 and 7600GT

the thing is I ordered the 6300 from monarch computer. They haven't shipped it in 3 weeks since I ordered it.

Called and griped them out. They gave me a free complimentary upgrade to the 6600 for no additional cost. So I'm not downgrading for the same price im paying for a 6300 to a 6600 But the ASROCK will be sufficient for gaming eh?

Any mobo will be sufficient at stock settings, just don't expect to OC much, if at all. And your vide ocard will horribly bottleneck your CPU.

He means that the CPU is overkill for your GPU, so long as you stay AGP you will never reap the benefits of a good GPU
