It's a laptop.

The BIOS is probably locked down, first and foremost- for obvious reasons (as well as being an OEM machine). Secondly, laptops already get plenty hot enough, overclocking these is generally not recommended as it may drastically shorten their lifespan due to insufficient cooling.

This is of course, not counting the crazy high end ones built with performance in mind.

overclocking an AMD laptop.. hm...

not sure if you really want to overclock a laptop with a built in GPU. cant you specify the reasons and objectives you want to achieve after you overclock? smile.gif

i dont think its a good idea to overclock a laptop because they usually run hot even before overclocking.

do me a favor, go into the laptop's bios and tell me if you see CPU overclocking options / features. plus go ahead download a CPU temperature monitoring program to be able to see what temps your laptop is running at before / after overclocking.
