Updating rig, what would YOU buy? - Page 6

And the price, the silverstone seems nice with the exception of cables going on top of your computer and maybe the inability to put push/pull config 620's on your gpus because the 120mms are so close to your graphics card.

Not worth twice of a Corsair graphite imo : /

Poor airflow (120 in/120 out + 80mm top vent) and only space for 3 hard drives packed like sardines, but I still use it and it still compares quality-wise to even the $200 dollar Corsair cases. I don't think there is any plastic on the case at all, and when I bought it it was only around $100. I've seen it on sale for $70 or less. (probably not made anymore http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112099)
All that being said......Silverstone really has my attention for the next case. I like everything about their Fortress ft-02, except for their dang logo in size 50 font stamped on the case.

Lian Li do have a LOT of different cases though, i dont really like most of them either, but they still have some awesome cases, i like their brand new V650/700/750 line for example. Also a lot of their MITX cases are great.

Silverstone has some great cases, too indeed, i dont like the fact that they use a lot of plastic though.

That's the kind of case I want! Nice clean brushed aluminum look- tons of hard drive bays.....and the one thing that I like the best is the custom hard drive power cables. I currently have the Corsair 650D and I can't even close the side panel where the cables run through. It literally bulges out about 5mm because the power cables are stiff and can't be bent too much out of the way. I can't believe no one else addresses these problems when it comes to hard drives that are mounted sideways and are so close together. The additional hard drive cooler is another nice touch because I know that I had to be mindful of which hard drives went inside the case and where so that they wouldn't generate too much heat due to the limited airflow when they are so close together. Price is pretty good too......it's cheaper than the 650D and, for me, a better fit.

How do you know it doesn't?

This is obviously a variant of Schrodinger's Cat.

Two, upgrading because your bored is a slippery slope. Sure, it's a case today, but tomorrow your ram won't match, then you want a new psu to say you bought one. Keep in mind doing basically no upgrades are going to improve your gaming experience unless you need more gpu horsepower. 2nd 670 and a good 750w psu and call it a day, only if you need more gpu power.

He's right. I am in need of an intervention and some more bank roll because of the ole im bored and want a new pc part phase im going through. I could have got another gtx 680 by now with all the little upgrades I've done. sad-smiley-002.gif

Naw I think I have my goals set out now, a case that can house a hdd (prolly going 5,25 -> 3,5in), SSD, behind the mobo plate, and then just get money enough to get 2x 670s with antec 620s. Hell, might even get a third 620 just for ****s n giggles.

Going to see if this is possible with my current chassi with some dreml action.

Ty for all the help guys!
