Lol well damn. Guess I'll have to cut my loss. Got a good PS and SSD out of it though rolleyes.gif

Any ideas what would be causing the MEMok! light to stay on with different types of ram or even no ram at all?

Thanks for responding.

Is the PCB damaged? Asus's standard catch all - even for no fault found stuff is "we replaced a chip set." So it probably needs some of that, lol.

Hmm, I'll have to go over it with a fine tooth comb. The guy I got it from said it was working fine for him before he disassembled it. Thanks for the tips. I'll see if I can find any bad chip sets tongue.gif

I'm hoping I don't have as much difficulty with an RMA that I'm gonna do for a Corsair PSU that killed my mobo as well as the PSU itself.

Well the PSU is good, but I'm not gonna plug it in to anything ever again.

Holy crap, just got to reading this thread and will be sending a Sabertooth and Gen-Z to Asus for repair next week.

Wow, anyone wanna gamble my chances of getting anything fixed by them at non-rediculous price tag?

Sooooo.... for shats and giggles, I decided to try a different power supply tonight. I had an 400 watt w/ a single 4 pin 12v line. I had the board resting on something and just the cpu cooling fan resting on top of it with no mounts attached. A single stick of RAM (that had already been tried before), and a simple pci card. Guess what, the damn thing fired right up. Loaded into bios with no problems, and gave me a message saying I needed to adjust my bios settings. I'm like ***?! So I hook the TX 650 up to it, same way with the CPU cooler just resting, and again, guess what. Damn thing fired back up. I was getting ready to mount the hard ware for my CPU cooler (which is a Cooler Master 212 EVO), and noticed that the mounts have no washers on them, and it's just bare metal going flush against the motherboard. I'm wondering if that was my problem, if it was causing some kind of short or something redface.gif Oh well, either way it looks like I may have lucked out. Off to Lowes I go to get some plastic washers! thumb.gif
