Haha, but they did get LevelCap and he's much more experienced then TB, which is saying something. NC still have Seananners... Not sure who he is but I watched his recent videos and I'm not impressed.

Seananners isn't as good at actual gaming as he is at comfortably speaking, his livestreams are nothing to get excited about.

On another note, rivalXfactor and LvlCap play on servers with... I don't know how to describe it. But every enemy they face seems like they're not paying attention at all.

Planetside 2, though, is awesome with four full squads working together, it's almost too easy

from what I have heard from others around the outfit, he seems to be a 'casual' gamer, and makes videos for others who play 'casually'. It is just a big media event for more players, so I guess it doesn't matter too much who he is, he does seem to be an alright guy, rather have a nice-casual gamer lead us than someone who thinks they are good and is a douchebag about it. nice influx of people onto connery, i guess doing some leveling in preparation for the showdown, been a lot of br1-10s showing up in my kills & deaths screen. all tr of course. and the showdown will likely be a game of who can fill the skies with the most liberators. which is also tr of course. ugh.

Are they moving all 3 reps to the same server, or something like that? If not, what's the point?

I change up a lot. I think the only squads I haven't spent any time in are the Anti-Air and RapidResponseTeam.
they are all on Connery, where the showdown will take place... and all their 12-year old youtube followers are currently leveling up. We have already kicked the new Vanu leader's butt pretty badly, just waiting for the TR guy to try and make a move somewhere that isn't in Northern Indar's open desert air spam area, so we can send him back to his warpgate too.

At least the TR guy admitted they were nothing but a bunch of weekend warriors.

It's a shame really, if they had any way to filter applicants, all of them could field some pretty decent platoons. Instead they get exactly what you said.

So I decided to give this a try. Any advice for a newbie?

Join a squad and find the play style you like and stay with it for the first 20 levels.

depends on what you would rather do.
1. a lot of air, a little bit of anti-infantry tanks, a handful of infantry: Terran.
2. mostly tanks, decent amount of air, hardly any infantry: Vanu
3. a lot of infantry, a small amount of tanks and air: NC

find which one of those you would rather play as; then choose tr anyways, because air beats that.
but really, pick which one fits that, then go to http://www.planetside-universe.com/forumdisplay.php?f=10 and find a good outfit to join. grab a medic, and just kind of follow your squad around for the first few days, reviving people and leveling up your medi-gun (not the ability one, the actual gun.. you can level up ability later) this will help you get a decent amount of certs while you learn how your outfit likes to operate, and how the maps and bases are structured. then start using your certs on the main role you would like to play, and remember you can trial guns (but that is ALMOST useless, as you get no attachments on the trials, and most of the time, you need them to get the feel of how the weapon should be, at least for NC infantry weapons) and don't feel like you have to put all your certs into one class/vehicle, you can play all roles, but won't be quite as effective as someone who mains that class/vehicle.
