I use the Saw with a Compensator, Adv. Foregrip, and Reflexer (x2 scope). HV Ammo adds too much recoil to be worth it. Don't even need the Compensator and Adv. Foregrip if you're going to go sniping, just the x6 scope. 1st shot is always dead on target minus bullet drop. Always.

you can then either do resist shield + nano or flak, prefer flak if you're getting rocket launcher, since that means you'll be fighting air/tanks.
or you can go rambo and max adrenaline + max nano, but not so good vs explosives (the air n tanks)
health kit is a good choice, I am a long range HA so I dont even use C4 on him.
annihilator is even better now that the lock-on timer is reduced. just locking on to anything can make it turn tail, so I prefer it over a airORtank only launcher. the minimum damage means you'll get a lot of assists versus medium kills 9since the other rockets only hit airORtank) so it kinda evens out, and in a big group, you can time your shots somewhat to land more killing blows lol.

Are you guys talking about the default Saw or the Saw S? I was looking at the Anchor but I'm not sure if I'm down to drop $7 or it. unless it's worth it.

Ive wondered what the difference is between the standard fore grip and the advance grip... can you clear that up for me pls?

"More recoil is negated" is the simple answer.

The longer answer is that the Adv Foregrip on the Saw actually effects vertical recoil as well (or so says the PS2 forums, but they all talk without thinking, so who knows... all I know is it helps at range), so while the horizontal recoil is somewhat minimal at "normal" ranges even on the stock Saw, it helps like the compensator does. Between the two, I can land a heck of a lot more shots then the Orion or Carve shooting back at me at medium range, which is good, because I have about zero intention of letting them get close.

I tried the EM6, I really did, I even certed it out. But at the end of the day, I keep going back to the Saw. Low rate of fire + high damage may lose out to higher rate of fire weapons in close battles, but I try to not let that happen, and my gun lasts forever without engi support if I need to. I just burn through ammo way too fast with the EM6, and the GD-22's 50-round mag scares me.

Default Saw.

Anchor is a close-range gun last I checked, could be wrong.

Cheers! I already own the GD-22 so I don't really need a close weapon gun.

For me it's almost the complete opposite, I run the Piston on my Medic, not because it's the best Medic gun but because I have fun using it. I get spending money to support a great game but there's no harm in buying an item to have more fun =P

Also thanks to the guys who recommended the default Gauss, I used it last night and it worked wonders. Not to happy I'll have to drop 300 certs to get the attachments but I guess that just comes with using a great gun. The recoil is insane stock though, I had a very hard time using it to lay down gun fire at a distance.

My enjoyment comes from spending money to deck out my classes as best I can to support the outfit. I prefer to play medic, but I have bought guns and such for each class so I can be versatile. That's where my enjoyment comes. I nearly quit playing because I didn't have an outfit and got bored of lone-wolfing, spending money didn't help that, playing with an outfit did, so I do what I can to help out. But 50% more xp certainly entices me to play more lol.

Different perspectives for the same objective. Throwing $15 their way for some guns is less satisfying for me than spending $15 because I've enjoyed the game, and then considering the guns I get as a nice little bonus.

yeah, I have the piston too and it is great. I really only use it on heavy though. It is my indoors cqc weapon, and the gauss saw is my outdoors weapon. I thought about the anchor for a lil bit, but am just going to keep the 2 above for their roles. Working on the high RoF engie/la gun now, then I should be done with weapons I really wanna get, although after I cert up attachments and vehicle items, I will eventually wanna get 2nd burster, skyguard and longshot, but maybe a double SC day rolls along and I drop 15 more on this game... IF they fix it where air isn't the kill everything role. I'd give them more money honestly for the visual items, but they are expensive for being per-class. Just getting composite armor and no helmets for each class is 15, which is kind of on the high end IMO.

Exactly, not saying one way or the other is the right way to do it. I get my most enjoyment playing as medic, especially when I get C4 kills lol. But I also enjoy being a versatile squad member. And spending dough on weapons to benefit that class is fun for me. and it lets me spend my certs on things other than guns.
